What we stand on
We build homes, not houses.
Our philosophy is simple and uncompromising — and it shows in every home we deliver.
Zanetto Builders was founded on a belief that a home should be built once, built properly, and built to last a lifetime. Everything we do is guided by three principles we always reference together.
LEAN construction
Eliminating waste in materials, time, movement, energy and the life of the building.
Open-book pricing
The spec conversation is a real one — honest, transparent pricing you can trust.
Sustainability-led
Passive House-capable, healthy-home construction built to perform and last for generations.
Philosophy is cheap unless it shows up in the paperwork and the fabric of the building. Ours does. LEAN shows up as fewer variations, fewer delays and a tighter program. Open-book shows up as every labour, material and margin line visible from the 48-hour feasibility to the final claim. Sustainability shows up as a certified Passive House team and homes measured against the world's most rigorous performance standard — including a certified Passive House its owner calls only the third in Tasmania.
That's the difference between saying "quality" and proving it. See how it runs end-to-end in the Forever Home Process, read what clients say on our reviews page, or see where we're headed in our mission and vision.
Country
Zanetto Builders acknowledges the palawa and pakana people as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we live, work and build. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. Sovereignty was never ceded — this always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
We build on Country that has been cared for over tens of thousands of years. As builders we change land permanently, and we think that carries an obligation: to build once and build well, to disturb no more ground than a home needs, and to be honest about the impact construction has.
Build with a philosophy you can audit.
