The first Forever Home Zanetto Builders ever built — for Kyle’s own family, in West Launceston — and the home the company still measures itself against.
The brief
Before we ever asked a client to trust us with their Forever Home, we built our own. The HQ was the director’s first family home, and in many ways it’s where Zanetto Builders truly began. The brief was simple and unforgiving: every decision, every detail, every finish had to meet the exact standard we’d want for the people who build with us. If our own home didn’t meet it, nothing else could.
The build
Designed with TMK Design and Kyle Zanetto Design & Interiors, and photographed by Tassie Visuals, The HQ set the benchmark every Zanetto home has been held to since — the detailing, the finishes, the discipline on site. It’s also where the company is based: the home and the headquarters, one and the same. The way we build isn’t just a promise made in a brochure; it’s the building the business runs from, held to since day one.
The result
The HQ didn’t just set our internal standard — it was recognised beyond it. It won Master Builders Tasmania — Dwelling Construction $600,000–$800,000 (2021) and HIA Tasmania — Custom Built Home $500,000–$750,000 (2022). Our very first home, award-winning from the start. Years later the team repeated the exercise with Asgard, Kyle’s second own-home build — and that one won nationally.
