A Forever Home currently under construction — a two-storey house stepped into a sloping site, with the living level lifted to take the outlook and parking tucked beneath it.

What the design is doing
A simple gabled form in pale render, opened up along its length with full-height glazing so the living level reads as one continuous room facing the view. An arched clerestory in the gable pulls daylight deep into the plan from above — the part of the design that does the most work and is hardest to build well.
Below, the ground level is set back into the slope, giving covered parking and a lower living wing without pushing the house further up the hill. Terraced garden walls hold the fall of the land and turn what would be an awkward slope into usable ground.
